Josie attends World Champion Barefooter Keith St. Onge's Clinic

KSO did an excellent job coaching Josie. She learned a lot in just (4) sets. Check out the video! The video also includes an unbelievable demonstration of what a professional can do.

We appreciate the opportunity to attend the clinic and allowing Dad to ride along. Thanks Keith! A special thanks should go to Kyle Erickson, the organizer of the clinic, and Renee Erickson, Kyle's Mom, for lining us up with all this. Thanks!!!!!!

It's ON!!!! June 29th is the Day

The Kids Learn to Hydrofoil Clinic for Kasey's fight against Crohn's disease is ON. We have some great sponsors lined up, including SKY SKI, East Coast Hydrofoils, Cinch Hydrofoil, Ward's Balsam Beach Resort and Texas Fish & Game Magazine.

Water Temperatures hit 50F

The water temperature hit 51F on Sunday. Dakato and Josie both went wakeboarding. Josie wasn't all that crazy about the cold water. Big baby! "I don't want to get my face wet".

Ice Ride 2009

The season has officially started on Balsam Lake. The water temperature was ~35F and there was still ice in the water. However, that didn't stop us. The riding skills were VERY rusty but it was still a great time.

Getting the boat ready!

Started the boat and dropped it in Lotus Lake on 3/29/09. Also got the back seat and driver seat recovered by K&M in Shafer, MN. He got it done in just 3 days. He'll do the whole boat for me this winter. I'd highly recommend him to do your marine interiors. He matched my Mastercraft perfectly.

Support Kasey in her fight against Crohn's Disease

We taught Kasey to ski and hydrofoil on Balsam Lake this past summer. All of us were very excited for her, especially considering her fight with Crohn's disease. Check out her videos. She did awesome. We're all looking forward to her learning to Slalom ski and jumping on the hydrofoil this summer.

PLEASE support the cause by going to her Crohn's Page and donating to her fundraiser.

The Last Run for 2008

The last run for 2008 took place on October 19th. It was a pleasant 60F with 46 F water. This was the end of a great season and 6 years of skiing on Lake Menomin. Our new evolution starts in 2009 on Balsam Lake.

Kenzie gets going on the BI Swing

Kenzie, at age 11, gets started footing on the boom using the swing. She did an exellent job. With some more work on her form, she'll be ready to get out on the boom without the swing.

Josie gets up on the Mini-Short Line

Josie had some success on the mini-short line. The mini-short line is a nice intermediate step between the boom and the full short-line. We had been working on long-line deep attempts. She was very close. However, after receiving some more tips and other methods, we shifted back to the boom again to work on her form.
